The hiking trail starts at Waterloo recreational area and is marked with signs and red ribbons. There are also maps for walkers to take along. At the beginning and along the path there are information boards.
The route goes southward and for the first few hundred metres follows the skiing track. Then we turn off westward to come closer to the sea. From this point there are two alternative paths, one of which goes out to the sea. Further south, we approach the lead-mine that was closed down in 1972. The mine’s 45m tower rises high above the forest. We pass a bubbling stream where leaping fish delight the eye in the springtime.
We then proceed along the coastline and begin to approach our destination Lisagrynnan. The headland is owned by the local authorities and can also be reached by car. The journey down goes through Västanlid. At Lisagrynnan there is shelter, a barbecue area, toilets, etc. If we then go back the same way we have certainly had a good day’s exercise – ca 10km!
Come and discover the wonderful coastline!
